I recently bought a JBL PSW-D112 powered subwoofer with a bad amplifier(I couldn't turn it down for $45 bucks). I am replacing it with a Homni Enterprises model# S200ETH. I need to know if the JBL uses an 8ohm or 4ohm speaker. I also need to know about the S200ETH. I bought it used also and don't have any specs on it. It is rated at 200Watts at 8ohm but I don't know what it is rated at for 4ohm. Any information would be of great help to me.

Thanks

I wouldn't know but I have a thought...

Take out the woofer itself. It should have a number on the back of it. Type this into Google and see what comes up. I found out what woofer my Infinity speakers needed using this method.

Good luck!

I should have thought of that before. Thanks. I still need information about that amp? There is nothing on the internet except the company that used to sell them. I want to find a manual somewhere. Any thoughts?

Thanks

You might want to try posting the amp question on another, larger forum. They get more readers than the Outlaw forum. Try one of these although I'm sure others have other recommendations.

Just a quick update. I recieved and installed the new amp in the broken JBL......Man does this thing crank...lol. I still don't know if the JBL is 4 or 8ohm(the number on the back of the driver trick didn't work) but it has no shortage of power. I knocked a picture off my wall with my reciever at less than half way up My hats off to Soundhound it was his CD that I downloaded that caused the picture crash....lol. JBL might have had some serious problems with there amps but they still know how to build a sweet driver and a solid box. Does anyone know if there is a conversion chart that would tell me what a 200 watt at 8ohm amp should produce at 4ohm? I'm happy with whatever this amp is doing but I'm still a little curious.

Thanks Again
