Is the 7000 the same as the older 7125? If not what are the differences?

The 7000 is made in China and the 7125 was made by ATI in the US. Also, the 7000 has balanced inputs, while the 7125 did not.

Is the new 7000 as well built as the 7125?

I cannot see Outlaw replacing a product with something inferior. There are some improvements, notably the balanced inputs. As far as construction goes, they seem to be built in a similar manner (separate channels/heat sinks). But ultimately, it is about how well it sounds and performs. If I did n't already have a model 7500, I probably would have picked this one up to try, knowing that I probably would not be disappointed.
I think they still have the 30 trial/money back guarantee.

Thanks for the input!
Does anyone know why they switched to china for production?

Guessing for two reasons.
Lower production cost = competitive pricing and larger profit margins.
Two very important things in todays markets to stay in business.
