So we know a good surround track can really show off our SOUND systems. But taking into account many of us have HDTVs, what are some movies that really LOOK great? A couple that come to mind IMHO are (they are all standard DVDs BTW):
One Hour Photo
The Incredibles
Iron Giant
Casino Royale
Sin City

I haven't seen One Hour Photo but concur with all the other ones in your list. I would like to add:
Hero
House of Flying Daggers
The Fifth Element
The Fountain

Enter the Dragon (HD-DVD)
Concur: House of Flying Daggers
LOTR, especially the scene with Gandalf and "the Demon"
War of the Worlds
IMAX: Fighter Pilot (loved this one.)
My list is pretty short since I haven't had my Pioneer hooked up for more than a few weeks. I'm settling in now with the new setup. I love this TV.

I saw an IMAX film on an HD channel about the Andretti family, narrated by Paul Newman. Simply Amazing.

The pilot episode of "Heroes" on HD DVD.
Much of "Planet Earth" on hi-def disc
