Have any of you listened to the Josh Groban cd by the same name? I am playing it on H/K cd player using the 950/770 combo with B&W CDM 9NTs & SVS 20-39PC+. This young artist's voice and diction are tremendous!

Also, give the song "Skimbleshanks The Railway Cat" from CATS (disc 2, track 4), a spin on your Outlaw system. Not much bass, but the seperation of the voices will make you feel as though you are in a theater watching the performance.

Haven't heard of the disc but man, does that song bring back memories.

All joking aside, I had a cast recording when I was young and that was my favorite song. Haven't even thought about it in probably over 15 years or so...

Jason,
After I received my Outlaw system a couple of months ago, I was so impressed with the improvement of sound quality through my speakers that I began playing all my old CDs just to hear how they would sound. To my surprise, some of those that I thought would sound great actually sounded terrible and CDs I thought would sound like junk actually sounded pretty good. I was extremely surprised with how CATS sounded. Your right, it's an old recording which is why it caught me by surprise. Most entries in this forum are about DVDs, but after listening to my old CDs again I thought CATS might be one music disc other Outlaws might like to re-visit.

Has anyone listened to The Moody Blues, "A Night At Red Rocks With The Colorado Symphony Orchestra," DVD? It's recorded in stereo, (it's an old concert you know). But I listened to it in PLIIM+CR and it's wonderful! There is one part that I thought was an instrument but the 950 revealed it to actually be the two backup singers. My H/K receiver never could bring this out, I'm sold on the 950/770 combo.
