The 2160 is great on my Klipsch (and was on my Focals),but I understand that Maggies can be tough to power, just wondered who was running what out there (Thinking the .7 or LRS)

I have Maggie 1.6 QRs but power them with a Outlaw 7500 amp. If you have a sub you can drive them very well as they need a lot of power to do powerful bass at high volumes and the sub absorbs that. Mine draw anywhere between 5 and 40 watts per channel at decent volume levels

I don't have Maggies, but Steve Guttenberg specifically recommends the 2160 to go with the LRS speakers. Check out around 9:00 in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdb8wLd73Tg) - he calls the 2160 the "ideal match" for them.

Older thread, but I’ll add my comment in hope it helps someone. I’m running 1.7i Maggies with my RR2160, and I have no problems getting up to the 90dB area, which is the limit of my own comfort range, so I haven’t pushed it further than that. Volume on the receiver was set between -20dB/-15dB to achieve this, depending on my source.
