Mac not recognizing RR2160 dac

Hey Guys,

Just picked up the 2160, and having an issue - cannot get my Mac to recognize the outlaw dac via usb. I have used this Mac with a Marantz, Peachtree, and Yamaha integrateds in the past and never had this happen.

Anyone run into issue or know a possible fix?

The USB ports on the back of the 976 are not data inputs. They are only for accessory power. Use HDMI from your MAC to the 976 and it should see it.

Thanks Xenon but I have the RR2160, not the 976. I am referring to the USB-B input in the rear of the RR2160.

Sorry, jumped the gun on that one. According to the manual the Mac should automatically sense the 2160. Is it possible the Mac needs some sort of updated file. Don't know much about Mac but a Win machine will need a driver update. Could it be a bad cable?

No worries, I am actually swapping out my original for a new unit.
