LED Cabinet lights - 12/21/07 03:30 PM

Hello: I have been using these small stick up lights to give me some added light on my componets. There called DOT-it lights made by sylvania. Specs on them are 2.5" round and less than 1" thick. They have 3 white leds and run off 3 AAA batteries. Access to them is 3 small screws. They come in several colors, have self stick mounting via 3M tape and last a long time.
I first found these for sale at HomeDepot but its hit or miss per store. I have recently seen them at JoAnns fabric stores. Give them a try they put off no heat and don't need wires or a extra plug in outlet!!!

... also worth checking out as an alternate - the Ikea Dioder lights.

Come with self-adhesive backs ( if you want to use them they also have screw posts )

- and they have motion sensors - no swithing anything- Full auto.

I recently acquired an Alienware computer and the glowing LED lights really bug me. How do I disable them?

I searched around in the BIOs and the wires are connected directly to the power supply so I can't just unplug them. Any ideas?

Duct tape over them.

Or just put a tiny piece of clear tape over the light and use a black pen to darken the light until you reach a point where the light is acceptable.

Read the manual and see if the flashing light is warning of some issue. Could be a burned out projector bulb.
