Dual sub output on updated 990

Dual sub output on updated 990 - 04/30/07 10:48 PM

I would like to see dual sub outputs on the next update to the 990 / 970 series pre/pros. Point being is that some of us have either 1) bass shakes or 2)near-field subwoofers in addition to a main subwoofer sitting in the front corner. By having two outputs it would allow an easy solution to correcting any possible delay problems between the main subwoofer and the near-field woofer / bass shaker.

Do you mean two outputs or two independently controlled outputs? Assuming the latter, what settings would be needed for that second output?

Two independent sub outputs, with the most important difference being the ability to have variable delay between the subwoofers. Reason being if your Outlaw LFM - 1 Plus is 4 meters from you and your sitting on your bass shaker or hsu MBM, there is going to be a lag of 0.01 seconds. I suppose that is not very perceptible, but so much of this hobby is the imperceptible, right? wink

In addition to the separate delay setting, would you also benefit from separate level control? It would seem likely.

I think that would be a great feature for larger rooms with multiple subs 2-4?
