This may be considered a step backwards, and only a niche product, but would anyone else be interested in a 5x125 amp? Take the 7125, hack a couple of channels off. Similar packaging. Might be cheap to introduce and carry an attractive price tag, somewhere near half of a 7500? That would fit for people comfortable with their current HT preamp, or looking for improved performance from their receiver. It may even perform better than 5x125 given similar underpinnings with less channels to support. Used models from Marantz and Acurus are being snapped up quickly....I could see going with the 7125, but it's not bridgeable. AFAIK

There's still plenty of folks out there running only 5 channels, so I think you have a good idea, Landon. However, I think you hit the nail - "a step backwards." The fact is, the HT crowd using 5 channels is not a growing demographic, which is where the decision typically gets made when expanding the lineup. Of course, the same could be said about the 7500, but it could be that 5-channel customers are more likely to be looking for a substantial power boost from an amp.

I for one would snatch one up for my bedroom rig, should Outlaw deign it a good idea.

There is also potential for bi-amping or using the extra channels for but-kickers and such. I have a 5.2 (two subs :-)system but I think I could figure out how to benefit from an extra two channels, they wont go to waste.
