There is an issue with HDMI to DVI connections.

Since you are "friends" with Outlaw, is this an issue with Outlaw with having a new pre/pro with digital video switching? I understand its Pioneer with their HDMI output (doesn't surprise me with Pioneer haveing a problem). But Samsung's come with a HDMI to DVI cable-no issues ....yet.

This appears wholly unrelated to the DVI switching on the 1070, aside from the fact that HDMI equipment designers need to make sure their HDMI outputs can be converted to DVI without getting messed up. As you indicate, the problem appears to be with the HDMI transmitter.
