Volume Level Display

With my 990, I often want to know what the vol level is. Only way to tell is to rotate the vol control. Even slightly I often find I change the level setting by one notch.

Suggestion: Make the vol control knob capacitive sensitive so that simply touching it will activate the display showing the current level setting. OR

Display the vol setting at all times, at a low brightness setting. When vol knob is rotated, the screen will resume normal display function.

The 990 is no longer built and will not be updated. Good idea for the 978 or 998 though most folks use the remote vice the volume knob. If you touch the volume button on the remote I am pretty sure the display on the 990 shows the level. I am also separated from my 990 but by 800 miles. If you run a cable for the menu on screen display the volume is shown when changed.
