Model 5000 Fuse - 02/21/19 12:47 PM

Hey All,

New, very happy owner of the Model 5000 Amp. Perhaps a naive question....is it wise to keep an extra fuse on-hand, just in case???

Thx,

Tom

Possibly. The fuse can blow from internal or external causes. If an external cause, replacing the fuse could get you back up and running again.
If an internal cause, it would just blow again, and you would need to contact Outlaw.

Helson - Thanks - Know off-hand if this is a fuse that is readily available at electronic supply stores.....or should it be purchased directly from Outlaw?

I would imagine you can source this on-line or a supply store. You can pull the fuse and check for size and amperage, then check around. I don't know what the specs are. I don't have a 5000 amp.

I have two outlaw amp and several others over the years. Don't fret about keeping an extra fuse, you are not going to blow it unless you do your connections with the amp powered or really cross up some wires.
