My 975 has performed great for the years I've had it. Last evening, I put my "Carpenters singles 1969-1981" SACD in my OPPO UDP-203 and...no sound. OPPO OSD shows "SACD DSD" and "5.1". I've listened to this SACD several times via my OPPO and 975. It's been about a year since I last listened to this SACD and I have made no interconnect changes in the interim. CD's play fine as well as a DVD Audio disc. Anyone out there had no SACD output and subsequently solved the problem?

Check your Oppo settings. The Oppo can output SACDs as a DSD stream which I don't believe the 975 supports. It should be a pretty quick fix if that is the problem.

mdrconsult, I'll look into the OPPO settings - thanks. But, I don't think I've changed them.

Make sure the Oppo volume control is set to 100% and fixed output.
All else fails, unplug the Oppo to force a cold boot.

mdrconsult was correct. I checked my OPPO Audio Output Setup. SACD Output was set to DSD. I changed it to Auto and it obviously sensed my 975 couldn't handle DSD, so it's sending PCM to my 975. Sounds great. Must be one of those audio gremlins that changed my OPPO output - I swear I didn't do it :-)
