Harmony/Logitech RF Remote suggestions - 03/08/11 09:30 PM

Hi - I am looking for recommendations for an RF remote to drive my 950/7100. I currently have a Harmony (non-RF) remote but open to recommendations from other manufacturers. Suggestions?

Thanks!

I love my Universal MX-900. That being said, programming the URC remotes is complex. You can download the MX-900 software as well as the software for a few other of their remotes from my review (even though you can't get it from URC directly, unfortunately).

Harmony is one of the best for ease of programming and macro integration, especially if you are familiar with the programming process.

I'll second the Universal recommendation from Gonk...I have an mx-850 that has been great and I had trouble with my previous model...I think it was a mx-950 and they just sent me a new model....probably 2 years out of warranty and they did it anyway.

Ps. I can still get the software for my 850 although they are pretty tight about giving it out...they want custom installers to have that as a tool to earn their living I think.

I have a Logictech 850 been using for about 4 years or so. Its been great. Not perfect mind you but the software has been great. Have not progreammed it in a few years and made some big changes of late and it was all right there and saved.

Biggest problem is my eye sight has gotten worse and need a bigger screen soon!
