VUDU XL

Now that the VUDU XL units have been in the Outlaw product line for almost a month, any comments about the unit from you early adopters. I am seriously considering adding the XL with the price drop. Any feedback on your XL experience would be appreciated.

I've had the "standard" Vudu for a while, and it is an excellent product. My one complaint is that I've "bought" enough movies that the smaller hard drive in that unit sometimes gets over-run. If I didn't have the older model, I'd definately get the XL.

Audio/video quality is quite good, download speed usually decent, and program selection quite good. Having the ability with the new "Vudu Labs" stuff to watch YouTube on my main system when there is nothing on and I'm not in the mood for a movie is also cool.

Very Much worth it.

Well, we heard "rumors" that this was in the planning stages but we could not discuss it until it became official.

Vudu announced today that they are the first movie service to allow their customers to purchase some of their HD offerings. The list is not big, but we suspect that this is just the beginning. For those that questioned why one would want the larger hard drive, here might be a good reason:

As we said above, this is just the start.

It will be exciting to see the new offering.

I decided to move forward on the XL. Placed my order last night. Looks like my timing is good.
