low cost multi-zone...... - 04/20/07 11:51 AM

Hi Folks !
I've been pondering the thought of adding a small powered speaker system in my bedroom...
hooked up to my 1070 (via analog monitor output)and to my PC...
I'm definitely staying away from the generic PC stuff...
but I have been looking at these from Cambridge SoundWorks
and these from Seanix (but they only have one input frown )
thoughts or comments anyone ?

I've used the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 THX for music and gaming on my PC for a couple of years now and I like it a lot. The newer GMX model offers larger drivers on the satellites and two inputs.

The specs say it can go a little bit lower than both the Seanix and Cambridge systems...

Klipsch sometimes has killer deals on factory refurbs on eBay. That's how I ended up with mine.

Thanks Palmer,
that set looks sweet...
I've also been looking at Tivoli stuff...
they sound really nice for their size...

but the web...has given me
Edifier Speakers to look at...

they got some nice stuff I can pick up locally
these caught my eye....
but this set-up has some charm as well...
both sets are roughly the same price...(60$ canadian)

2.0 or 2.1
that is the question....

I think I'm gonna simmer this one a bit longer...
and see if I can't audition some of these prior to purchase...
maybe something better will come along...
I'd like to see and hear these Audio-Technica
or worse...I'll get fed up...and go over-budget laugh
