If you are trying to match several monitors of the same type to the same color temperature, and you have technician's access to individual RGB adjustments, then this type of device can be helpful.

If you are mearly adjusting Contrast, Brightness, Color/Intensity, Tint/Hue and, if your monitor has it, Color Temperature, on a single monitor for your home, and you already have a test DVD with 'blue screen googles' such as Video Essentials, carefully following monitor adjusting proceedures will provide proper settings of those four or five adjustments.

If you are a compulsive image tweaker, then the device will give you

1) a chance to end you compulsion - if it leads you to believe you have reached the ultimate picture possible for your monitor.

2) another gadget to add to you menagerie of devices.

This device does not appear to directly adapt well to front projection. If you were to put a neutral color tranluscent material between your projector and this device, in essence creating a temporary rear-projection situation, then this device might help you adjust a projector. Again, you can do a great job without this device, but if you're still thinking about it, wait until the web site can provide clear information on application and instructions for use of the device.

My two cents.
