Do they make any vcr's or dvd recorders that have a tuner that can handle digital cable? Ive grown tired of renting my cable box.

I don't know of either, but I have recently come across a TV set that includes a digital cable tuner. It's a Zenith C32V37. From what I've been able to ascertain, the tuner will receive all unscrambled (standard) digital content, but it will not support the program guide data provided with the cable box.

My Mitsu 65" has a built in QAM tuner. Supposedly can receive/decode unscrambled digital cable signals ... unfortunately COX Communications scrables *all* digital signals and therefore *REQUIRES* a box rental to receive them.

Man do I wish I had a clear view to the south/south west.
