The new onkyo is just to large for my current unit. It demesions are
h 8"
w 17.5"
d 20"

It's a 55lb beast.

Along with it will be
Dish 922 box
Samsung blue ray,
sony 5 disk sacd.
hexbox360

In the future, there will be outlaw 978, and outlaw 7500

As for budget, well the right piece and i would not be concerned. The reason why i don't want a rack is i have no with to re-cable everything again.

Companies like BDI and JSP make some pretty "hefty" TV credenzas that ought to work, though I would recommend supplementing them with ultra quiet equipment fans. Anytime you can keep the heat from accelerating the break down of electronics you really ought to...
