997 support FLAC?

Will 997 support FLAC natively? It'd be nice to access either a network server or external hard drive and play FLAC files without any sort of trans-coding.

Any ideas/thoughts?

This sort of support would require a network adapter and a form of network file sharing (like DLNA). I'd suggest looking at the R-972 manual at Sherwood's site. I haven't read the manual in a while, but I don't think it has a network jack. The microphone input for Trinnov calibration uses an RJ-45 jack, but it isn't a network jack.

I checked the R-972 manual this morning. The R-972 supports MP3 and WMA files stored on a USB storage device (formatted as FAT16 or FAT32), but there's no mention in the 972 manual of other supported formats. Also, the RJ-45 jack on the rear panel is for the Trinnov mic.
