Any trade-in deals for 990 owners?

I was wondering if there will be any trade-in deals. I still have a 990 that works flawlessly & still looks as good as the day I bought it 4 years ago. It'd be a shame to have to get rid of it for a 997 at full price rather than a trade-up deal.

There is no trade-in program, but as a 990 owner you get a $200 discount on the 997 and will still have the 990 (which you can keep or sell on a site like Audiogon).

$200 is reasonable. I'm pretty sure I can find an interested buyer either family or friends.

Just wondering, are the 1070 owners still being excluded from the 200.00 "family" discount?

As far as I know, neither the 1070 nor the 1050 are eligible for a discount. I believe the original discount for 990 and 970 owners was amended to offer a lesser discount for 950 owners, though.

I think it was announced last October that the 1050 and 950 will receive a $100 discount.

Sure enough - I hunted around a bit and found a post about that from late in October. Makes me think that any 1070 owners who are considering the 997 might want to ask Outlaw about the discount program...
