Yep - looking like a promising year for Blu-ray releases...

I just received a ship date alert from Amazon via email. It says anywhere from July 1st through 6th.

June 28 is the release date, and it looks like Amazon is doing "release day delivery" for some shipping options.

Yesterday I got an email saying the movies shipped. Today I received them in the mail. That was fast!!

Same here. Haven't had a chance to check them out yet, though.

You know I just went back and reread all the books and it is amazing how well Peter Jackson told the story, especially in the extended versions. I hope he can work the same magic with the Hobbit.

I got my copy this past Friday and noticed that on the Two Towers package I got 2 of the disc-9 discs and missing disc-10 that contained the behind the scenes. I'm getting a replacement copy from Amazon on its way. Wondering if this is just an isolated issue.

I just double-checked my set. It had all the right discs. I also haven't heard any other reports of mixed-up discs, so it is likely an isolated issue.
