Mounting LCR Speakers

Mounting LCR Speakers - 05/21/08 07:06 AM

Is there a picture of the rear of the LCR speakers? The one on the Outlaw website is not large or detailed.

Specifically, I'd like to know how to mount or if I should mount these speakers.

It almost looks like there are two "panels" of metal plates that have holes that could attach to tilt arms?...

Any thoughts, advice? What is the recommended method?

I can take a picture of the back of my LCR, but I can also give a quick description - there are two recessed squares in the rear that have holes in place to accept screws for the mounting brackets that Outlaw sells. If I were mounting an LCR on the wall, I'd pick up Outlaw's brackets ($25 for one speaker).

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, would you please take a close-up of the back of the LCR where the screw holes would be?

Also, do you happen to have the mounting brackets? I don't see the description or pictures anywhere on their site? (only on the "shop" page)

Tks!

Gonk. Have you posted a review of your LCR's or do you plan to?

I'll get a shot tonight - the ones I have from when I set the LCR up weren't focused on the mounting points and weren't terribly useful.

I do not have any of the brackets. My LCR is sitting on top of the entertainment center, so I didn't need the brackets.

Maybe Scott or another Outlaw can pull a bracket out of the warehouse and take a picture of it for us - I would be interested in seeing it, just from a curiosity standpoint.

I have - it covers both the BLS\'s and the LCR .

Still need to finish building my stands and pulling the BLS's down to a better height, although I've already decided that these will be temporary stands (until a co-worker better at workworking than I can have a chance to build something similar but of better quality). Just need to do a bit of sanding, get some feet on and the uprights leveled, and paint 'em. Maybe Saturday morning will see some additional progress on that front...

Check here for the installation guide .

It's also linked to from the LCR product page.

Best!

OK, guys, here are two pics. You can click on the first one to see a very large version of it.

Gonk, I see you have separate wires to the tweeter and woofer sections. Biwiring or active biamping?

Biwiring...
