Surround Match for LCR - 06/01/13 07:08 AM

I recently relocated and will be in need of surround speakers. I have Outlaw LCR's for my, well...LCR! In my prior home I had a pair of Mirage Omnican's in the ceiling which seemed to meet the need just fine. I use the system for >90% movies. Any suggestions?

Something of similar efficiency would be my choice.

Any thoughts on brands and models which would be of similar efficiency?

The LCR is 90 db efficient so that is towards the low end of the spectrum. Look at some of the stereo/Home Theater mags for reviews. Check out all the major manufacturers for there various products. I have Klipsch in my main system and they are very efficient. Try Aperion, Paradigm, Polk, Yamaha and Sony for starters and anyone else you can think of. Are you going to use your LCRs as the mains or are you looking to go bigger.

I'm looking to keep the LCR's as my mains but also have an LFM1-EX.

Try the Axiom M3 or the Aperion Intimus 4B or 5B. All are well rated and close to the 90 db efficiency.

I apologize for being neglectful and letting a thread that I started go stale. As an update, I took XM's advice on searching for 90db speakers to match my LCR's. There weren't a lot of choices that were exactly 90db that would fit on my wall and met the WAF. I ended up getting a pair of Niles OS6.5. It meets the needs well for a surround speaker and blends in great when listening to DVD-A. Thanks as always for your help.
