i just got my panasonic 50in plasma. the native reolution is 1366 x 768. which resolution should i set it with 720p or 1080i? i'm using to watch hdtv, blu-ray dvds, and playing ps3 games. some articles say 720p is better and some say 1080i is. also is there a big noticeable difference between 1080i and 1080p on a 50in plasma?

It's going to depend somewhat on the way the source device handles scaling and deinterlacing - and on the resolution of the original source material - but I'd expect 720p to look the best. Don't be afraid to try both, though.

With a native resolution of 768p, the difference between 1080i and 1080p (assuming the display will accept a 1080p signal) is going to probably be negligable.

I've got that thread open in my browser still, but haven't had a chance to dig into it enough to offer anything useful.
