990 and replacment for 770 combo - 12/27/05 11:46 PM

Hi

I myslef am planning an upgrade to my Ht system, which probably won't happen for a bit but I decided on what speakers that I want to get and was wondering from owners what their thoughts and others about this set up. I have decided to go with the Paradigm Studios. I plan on getting the Studio 100's, CC-570, 2 pairs of Studio 20's and 2 Servo 15 v.2. Would the Outlaw 990 and 770 replacment bea good match to the Studios? If I am lucky the 790 will be out when I upgrade, so if its out I may even go with that since the Studio 100's are very power hungry speakers.

Thanks

I would expect the Paradigm References to match up nicely with the 990 and 7700 (the 770's replacement, apparently due to begin shipping in the next three or four weeks). I've got the previous generation Paradigm Studio's (60v2, CCv2, and a couple ADPv2's) along with a pair of Axiom M3ti's paired with a 990 and a combination of Model 750 and a pair of Model 200's. It's worked out very nicely for me.

I have the same speakers you're looking at, only my sub is a PW2200 and I have a 7.1 system using the ADP's for the sides and the 20's for the rears. They're hooked up to my 990 and a 7125. I have to say its very nice! No complaints at all. I may upgrade to the 7700 or 790, but I have a wife to convince first... My paradigm's shine nicely with this setup, so I would recommend it.
