Outlaw BLS matched with RR2150 and two M8's - 04/28/11 03:33 PM

Hi Folks,

I'm strongly considering getting and hooking up a pair of the BLS speakers and a second M8 to my RR2150 set up. Right now I'm running two old 60's Sansui SP-100's on the rr2150 along with an M8. I guess I want to know if I instead used the RR 2150, BLS speakers and 2 M8's is crazy?...do I even need the second M8?

My living room is not super large, but I don't want to push the one M8 so hard and thought adding the second one would keep it more balanced....thoughts...suggestions? Am I nuts? : )

Oh...also...if anyone working at Outlaw is listening...as soon as I bought my M8 and RR 2150 back earlier this year, you guys put them on sale with free shipping! I was about to pull all of my hair out (well...whats left of it i guess smile! Any sales on the horizon for the BLS or M8's I should know about? If I buy this and it goes on sale the next week...i'll cry...you don't want a grown man to cry, do you? ahahaha!

Thanks!
D

I haven't tried the M8 yet, but the BLS and RR2150 make a very nice combo.

Keep in mind that historically Outlaw has used their 30-day return window as reason to apply sales retroactively to purchases of the sale items that happened within 30 days of the start of the sale. I don't think that it's anything automatic, but I recall them doing this several times in the past for people.

Hi Gonk,

Man I should have done that...I didn't think about asking for a refund...I should have...seriously I could not believe both of the components I bought went on sale not long after I bought them...it was less than a month on the sub...maybe a tad over a month on the receiver. If it happens again I'll see about the 30day thingy.

Is it ever a bad thing to have 2 subs? I was wondering if it would be bass overkill...

As with any sub, calibration is necessary. Unless you calibrate it "hot" (excess bass), it shouldn't be overkill. What it will do is provide a flatter overall room response, as nulls created by the room shape will typically be compensated for by the other sub.
