The box was wet. My wife let the fedex guy put it in the house and didn't notice it. When I went to open it I noticed the box was damp. Didn't even continue. I will have to talk to Outlaw in the morning. GHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

The Amp will probobly still work when dry. Crazy vintage people hose down their amps to clean them, and they still work.

Sorry to hear about the "damp amp". That's so disappointing when you have been looking forward to it's arrival and are unable to hook it up and give it a listen. As far as hosing off an amp, that's beyond crazy!

At Outlaw's urging I went ahead and opened the box. The moisture never got anywere near the unit. As well packaged as it is you would probably have to submerge the box to cause any damage. What a relief. The 990 should be here Saturday.

When I received my 7700 the outer box was a bit damp but knowing how Outlaw packages things I figured it would be high and dry which it was.
Having worked in shipping at one time it is not unusual for cardboard to "absorb" a small amount of moisture from the air, especially in winter.
