I ordered my 7500 last Monday and recieved it today. It was shipped from MA.The 7500 is replacing the 7125 i got before Christmas.I only got to play with it a few hours tonite, but this amp has a tighter bass impact with better detail than the 7125.I have my fronts and rears crossed over @60hz and the center @80hz and on u-571 the amp ran very cool.My speakers were sounding to bright with the 7125,but with the 7500 the sound is fuller~the mid's and low end keep up with the highs now.I'm very pleased with the 7500 and it was well worth the extra $500.Note:The 7125 didn't have a ground on it's plug, the 7500 does and i had a problem with a ground loop from my cable box.

Tim: congratulations on your new amp!!!!!

Have you noticed any hiss or the like as you turn the amp off??

Saw a report of this on an ATI board.

Thanks ratpack
There is a small hiss when the amp is turned off, like the caps are discharging. It's only for a couple of seconds. My Velodyne ULD 15 amp does the same thing. The 7500 made my Klipsch speakers sound alot fuller in the mid's and the bass notes are very tight.I ran the amp for a few hours on U-571 and some music at high levels and it ran very cool.(the 7125 ran hotter at the same levels)

Tim: thanks! That capacitor discharge is exactly what the post was about. Since ATI is said to make the Outlaw amp, I was wondering if the hiss would be there.

U-571 is a great video for sound effects. I've watched it a couple of times.

Enjoy that new amp!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received my new 990/7500 bundle last week and I've been listening extensively to it. So far so good except I do hear this ~1.5 sec chirp (high frequency hum/buzz) after power off (manual or trigger). It's not loud but definitely audible and worrying.

With some experimenting, I determined that this only occurs on the center channel when balanced input is selected (XLR cable connected or unconnected). I also tried connecting to a different speaker to make sure it wasn't crossovers doing it and confirmed this was independent of speakers connected. Having eliminated all possible external causes, this must be occurring within the 7500 and specific to the center channel balanced input.

I have submitted a support request ticket and waiting for a response but saw this thread and thought folks might be interested.
