970 and Streaming Audio WOW - 11/18/06 08:18 PM
It's Saturday night and I should probably be watching a DVD......... but instead I drilled a couple of new holes in my floor, ran a 35 ft digital coax into my cellar from my computer to my 970 and tried out some streaming audio on Yahoo. It was low/med quality, but for free it sounded OK. Then I figured hey for $36 a year I can get the high quality stream with no commercials.
Well for the last 3 hours all I've been doing it clicking on all the different stations. It's awesome and I'll probably never listen to FM or many of my CD's again. There's so much great music out there that we're probably only hearing about 10% of it on the radio. I've also been playing a bunch of stuff I downloaded from Itunes, but the streaming audio rules if you like to listen to music that you've never heard before.
Did I say it was awesome! I'm really liking my 970 tonight.
