Model 970 croaked

Hey folks,

My trusty 970 is on the fritz. The front-panel display comes on, flickers a bit, then goes out when I turn the unit on. It repeats this until it warms up a bit, then the front-panel display won't come on at all.

I highly suspect a power supply is bad. Given the intermittent nature, it's probably a cap or two that went south.

Anyone else have this experience and fix it? Does Outlaw still repair these? Is there a service manual available?

Thanks folks, I love my 970 (and my 770 amp, which will likely outlive me) and want to get 'er up and running again.

Outlaw will likely be able to repair it for you. Call customer service. Several others in the last 6 months have sent their older equipment back for repair and got them back quickly in excellent condition.
