NAD and the 2200 - 12/05/06 10:06 AM

I hope this isn't verboten here. If so, I apologize to Outlaw as I love and respect what they do.

I have a NAD T-163 pre-amp and a NAD C-272 2ch amplifier. I'm looking at getting a 2200 to power my center channel.

In this day and age do matching components make a big difference? When I read the initial review of a C-162 (2ch preamp) and C-272s the reviewers mentioned how much better the 162 sounded when matched to the C-272 instead of another amplifier.

I guess that could be a subjective recommendation but it made me take notice.

Outlaw makes fantastic monoblocks so I was hoping that I could go this route.

Thanks!

Nothing wrong with this question. When it comes to power amps, I'm not particularly inclined to consider matching components as a major issue. Others around here may have some first-hand experience with the C-272 and the Outlaw monoblocks (either M200 or M2200), which could be of help.

What speakers are you using for the center and mains? Speaker matching would be a much bigger deal sonically.
