M2200 power conditioner or surge

M2200 power conditioner or surge - 11/01/06 11:34 AM

Hi all,
I have just placed an order for 2 m2200's and have a couple of questions.
First I am planning on a third 2200 if I am happy with these.
Do you guys run these amps off power conditioners or surge protectors?
I have notice that most of these in my price range only have 2 high current plugs.
Also I have a set of moster cable rca plugs and wanted to make sure any decent RCA plug should work from preamp to m2200?

Thanks

I run both of my M200's and my Model 7500 off of my Panamax MAX5100 power conditioner. The 5100 only offers two high current outlets, but my entertainment center has a simple power strip (no surge protection circuitry to limit current flow) that I plug all three into.

Any decently-made cable with RCA's on each end would work fine with the M2200's. If you've already got something, I'd say "use it."

gonk,
Are you saying you plug the amps into the entertainment strip and then plug the strip into the 5100?

Thanks for the info

That's exactly correct - the strip goes into one high current outlet on my 5100.
