In you opinion are 7 model 2220s worth $1,600 more that 1 model 7000?

There are distinct advantages to monoblock amps when compared to multichannel amps. Separate power supplies is a big one, separate everything. What this is worth to you is up to you. But if you do a lot of reference level critical music listening it is certainly worth considering.

IMHO it is not worth it. The 7000 has two power supplies to support either 3 or 4 channels. There are very few instances, if any, where the surround speakers would use 200+ watts. The power supplies in the 7000 are very capable of driving each channel to max designed wattage so why spend the extra money and need enough space to place all 7 2220s.
