1070 No sound?!?

I turned on my home theater after dinner and I'm not getting any sound out of the 1070. As well, the volume will not change. Besides the volume, other features on the menu do work. Anyone have any ideas what is going wrong?

OK I tried everything I've seen on the boards short of the firmware update. I think I'm calling Outlaw on Monday.

Tried a system reset. No change...The only thing that seems to be not working is the volume and the volume control on the screen.

OK... Now I just went to the unit to make sure its still broken. I turned the volume and sure enough it started working. No idea what changed, the only thin that happened is the unit sat off for 12 hours.

Good ole 1070...could have been the perfect receiver at it's price point without the gremlins.

yep sounds like a classic 1070 'oops'. All my issues were fixable with a reset though and no waiting. the only exception was my firmware upgrade bomb. That required a trip to Massachusetts.

Mine just did the same last night. Optical Audio would not play, couldn't change inputs and could not adjust anything.

I will try a reset and a firmware upgrade tonight.

Try unplugging it from the wall and letting it sit overnight. That often solves the problem without a firmware upgrade.
