Upconverting DVD player opinion desired.

Hello...
Has anyone had any experience and an opinion about the new Samsung DVD HD-950 upconverting player w/ sacd and dvd audio. I'll be using it with the new Outlaw 1070, Mitsubishi 60" dlp tv and deftech speakers.

I am leaning toward getting the Denon 2930ci.

After considerable research, I chose the Oppo 971. Does an amazing job of upconverting. The 971 uses DVI which is perfect for my 1070. Check out their website. A review or two has their DVD's rated higher than units costing much, much more.

Should have posted my system which is similiar to yours. I have the 1070, the Oppo 971, a Pioneer 1140 and DefTech speakers...Mythos 6's for L/R and a Mythos 7 for C. I have Super 8 sub from Orb Audio. I put Mirage ceiling speakers in the rear for 5.1

This is true. The rumors are that it'll be called the 981HD, that it'll have HDMI output and support for both DVD-Audio and SACD (like the 970HD) as well as Faroudja processing (like the 971H). There's no definitive word on when it'll arrive, but I'll definitely be considering it as a replacement for the combination of 971H and Yamaha DVD-S1500 that I'm using currently.

I am using a Bravo2 and love the picture quality of it.
