Is there a break-in period associated with amps/preamps like there is with speakers?

Puppethead,
IMO, i only found tube equipment required a warm up periode.
It is fun when you warm up the equipment for the first time and get the 'cool' outgassing smell.

Thanks. I'm getting new speakers, and new power, and it would be just my luck that I'll be 31 days into it before I decide I don't like the way everything sounds together.
