990 and Samsung BDP1400

Hi all, been away for a while,I just got a Samsung BDP-1400 blu-ray player,my question is, on the speaker set-up in the player do you use small or large? I set them to large is this right way to do it,I am using the 7 channel analog inputs on the 990. thanks in advance.

I think that large is the way to go. It doesn't make any sense to double up on bass management and the bass management in the 990 should be better than that in the Samsung, plus you've got to manage the bass from your other sources somewhere. The 990 does that job very well.

That was my thinking exactly.I figured the 990 would take care of it,tried small first, and the sound was lacking or thinner just wanted to make sure it would be okay.

Sounds like you are on the right track. This guide is for the BDP-83, but the concept works for any Blu-ray player, if you want to skim over it.
