990 12v trigger w/ Digi-LinkIII Newcastle amp? - 05/22/05 11:04 AM
Ok, perhaps stupid question of the day.... :p
I have a Newcastle AM9080 power amp (actually more than one...
Anyone know whether a standard 12V trigger (which is presumably constant-on) will work to activate a Digi-Link III style turnon lead for the Newcastle?
I don't have a Newcastle (or other sherwood pre) to measure the output of the trigger. I would hate to blow out the remote on trigger in the amp (possibly rendering the ability to wake it from power-up standby mode to on toasted alltogether) by feeding it a constant current source when it's looking for a "blip" or "double-blip" of power or some such nonsence as that....
Any insight anyone could provide?
Thanks!
