I have a 1050 and would love to upgrade but cant just yet so its time to retire the old cambridge audio sub. Its boomy x3 and it has to go. I am running b&w 602s3main and center of the same and the rear surr are jmlab sibs and I rotate rear center surround looking for a good one...I do watch mainly movies but its just too boomy any suggestions woudl be great. thanks- greenmojo

What is your budget for a sub? Also, how large is your room? The internet-direct market has a number of very good candidates, depending on what you are looking to spend. One economical candidate would be the relatively new LFM-1 Compact from Outlaw ($400 for a 10" sub), but there are also an assortment of promising options - other Outlaw subs, HSU subs, SVS, etc.
