PSC Cost - 02/25/02 07:27 AM

Has the cost on the PSC been published yet? I would think they would have a pretty good idea of the price by now.

No word yet on the pricing that I've seen. They hope to start shipping in mid-April, so we should hear something in March possibly.

Well here the pricing we have been waiting for
PSC Pure Silver Coax, True 75 W Interconnect Cables
Single Unit Three-Piece "Component Video Stack"
0.5 Meters: $39.95 $ 89.95
1.2 Meters: $49.95 $114.95
1.8 Meters: $59.95 $134.95
3.5 Meters: $79.95 $189.95

dirt cheap for pure silver. You know monster cable is going down. My friend just picked up some copper covered component Mseries wires for over a hundred bucks. I tried to tell him to wait, but you could lead a horse to water, but you cant force him to drink.

I don't know if this has occured to anyone else, but several people have asked in the past about 3+ meter PCA cables for subwoofer connection -- the PSC may be a little overkill, but the 3.5 meter version would certainly fill that need.

Would it being coax & 75 ohm affect the sound at all?

Actually, I saw in a manual for the SVS powered cylinder subs that they suggest a 75ohm cable -- " Usually, a simple mono, shielded 75 Ohm A/V RCA type cable is used to take the subwoofer output of your DD/DTS surround sound receiver and feed the low-level input of the sub's amp." FWIW.

Interesting. I'm planning on ordering PSV's for video and coax SP/DIF; maybe I'll give it a try and see how it sounds for the sub.

For now I'm using a "regular" Radio Shack mono audio cable, and plan to upgrade that to the free PCA cable I'm getting when the 950 arrives.
