Question about ICBM

Hey guys,
I have listened to everyone's comments about base management and the 1050 on the 1050 forum. I have a DAC that I have just completed and I want to use it. Obviously I will plug it into the 1050's 5.1 inputs. But will lose the base management. Someone said that if I buy the ICBM then that will give me the base management. Is this true? Can I plug the ICBM between the dvd player and the 1050 and have base managment in stereo mode? In other words can I play regular cd's in my player and still get the subwoofer to play?

You can as long as you send a signal to the sub in(s) of the ICBM. To do this with an analog stereo output will require splitting the stereo signal and routing one set to the L and R mains and a combined signal to the sub in. Check out the ICBM manual, there is a section using it between the pre/receiver and the source as well as between the pre/receiver and outboard amps.
