Volume Control Problem

Volume Control Problem - 07/17/03 12:43 PM

Does anyone have a problem with their 950's volume control? When I try to turn down the volume with the knob on the 950, it actually turns the volume up instead. Thanks for any feedback.

There is no volume control 'motor'. It is obviously two separate circuits control the volume, however the display information for level, appears to be integrated for both circuits. If it is actually acting in reverse when controlled manually, then you should call Outlaw immediately ask them what they can do about it? It's likely a miswire, but surprising it was not caught on final inspection.

I just checked mine to make sure.. and rocked it back and forth over the little notches, and everything works as it should...

This is a relatively new problem. I have one of the first 950's that came off the assembly line. It use to work just fine but I discover the problem about two weeks ago.

If I understand you correctly, you did not have this problem initially? Or did not notice it initially?
In either case I do not see why you have not contacted tech support.

Did not have this problem initially. I've already contacted Outlaw and I've already recieved an email telling me that this is not a user servicable issue so I should hear from one of their staffs shortly. Thanks for all who replied.

Since my post, I contacted Outlaw's customer service and within a day I recieved a response saying that this problem cannot be solved by an in-home fix and soon thereafter I got a Return Authorization number. It took me a while to get around to sending my 950 to Outlaw for repair and today I got a phone call from Steve, and he just informed me that Outlaw will just do a swap and I will be getting a new 950 shortly. So thanks Steve and Scott. Once again, Outlaw's customer service department has performed above and beyond my highest expectations. Thans again Outlaw!
