hey, review is, so far, in line with my own with a few caveats. none very mch different tho. i think the only problem i had was when the reviewer said he needed a buddy to help him uncrate the unit cause it was so heavy...at all of 90 pounds! sorry, got a laugh on that one. i carry all over the world (by meself usually..a tremendous amount of electronics..our voltage 'smoothers' (as i call em) weigh 110 pounds...that's just the units we plug into for ... the rest of the story...are we turning into weak ninnies here (ps...i was born in the forties and i travel 10 and 15 thousand miles with this stuff...usually one to two tons ... 90lbs. ...i only wish)
it's really good to see a hi-ender laudit real equipment tho, that doesn't rob one of his/her hard earned pyramids.

Nice review. My 950 doesn't have gold plated connectors though. I wonder about that....

You sure yours doesn't have gold plated connectors? Slightly yellow color to 'em?

The 950 is a great deal, I was not in the market for anything audio until I ran into the Sound and Vision review and then this forum, It did not take me long to realize how great the 950 is, other pre pro's are in the 1.5k -3k price! enough said.

I've had lots of gear over the years with gold plated connectors, including the Sherwood Newcastle AV-P9080 which I replaced with the 950. I was actually very surprised that my 950 had standard connectors. I'll double check, but I'm fairly sure it has regular silver colored connectors.

Mine are gold. Got it end of Dec. Earlier red dot equiv was also gold. Got that one beg of Oct.

Hey the jacks are gold after all. I wonder why I thought they weren't.
