Triggering 2 amps

Triggering 2 amps - 11/27/02 03:32 PM

What's the best/easiest way to trigger 2 amps (755s) from the 950? Can I use a Y-adapter for the single trigger output?

Are there other issues to consider such as the power draw when 2 amps fire up at the same time?

Thanks.

Yes, the Y-cable will work, as long as (a) the trigger voltage range required by both amps includes 12 volts, and (b) the sum of the current draw of both amp trigges is less than 50 mA. You may want to double check those two numbers in the 950 manual to make sure I have it right.

Thank you very much for the reply Matthew. I decided I need surge protection as well so I bought the Panamax 5300. I can trigger using that.
