Yes, Brian asked a week or so ago and Scott told him it would be a derivative of the Home Theater Master SL 9000. Universal remote with learning capability. Not a touchscreen remote like the Pronto, though.

Cool. I thought the 1050 remote was pretty decent; this one looks much better. Maybe I can get rid of some of the five remotes sitting on my coffee table soon.

One of my remotes, though, is two-way (receives information as well as sends it). I haven't seen any universal remotes yet that can do that. So looks like I'll still be stuck with two. That's okay, though. I can live with it.

Anybody yet know if the problems with the 1050's remote, specifically the ability to un-program it and thus make it useless, will be addressed with the 950's remote?

For me I'd rather have the MX500. I talked to Scott about an upgrade but he said it would be too much trouble for a single remote. When I get my 950 I still might get the MX500. I think it's going for $189.

I have the 9000 now. It came with my B&K ref.20 and I love it. I don't think there's a better remote on the market for my money. I tried a bunch before I got the B&K and nothing even came close. I think you'll like this remote a lot.

I'm actually quite surprised that it ships with a $129 remote. Even considering the Outlaws are probably getting a volume arrangement, it's got to be a significant portion of the cost of making the 950. I expected a $30 remote, something pretty basic. It's a nice surprise.

I'd upgrade to an MX500 too, given the choice.

I own the Home Theater SL9000 remote as well as the Philips Pronto. I honestly like the SL9000 better. I guess now I'll have 2 of them. I think the Pronto might end up on Ebay.
