Help ???????? - 03/21/05 08:42 PM

I'm looking for a nice subwoofer, from what I've read the LFM-1 is a very nice sub, however I've read alot of good things about the Paradigm PW-2200. I have the Paradigm Studio 60 v3 as mains and CC-470 v3 center. I listen to 90% music/ 10% movies. Just wondering if anyone has heard both subs and if so which one would they recommend and why? Since my studio 60's extends pretty low 30Hz -3db that's all I really need for music, so really all I would be using the sub for is movies. Should I stick with all Paradigm or would the LFM-1 be a better choice?

I originally planned to purchase a PW-2200 to pair up with my Studio60v2's, but budget steered me elsewhere (first an SVS 25-31PCi, then the LFM-1). The SVS had a bit of trouble blending with the 60's for music, but the LFM-1 has been a great match for them on both music and movies. I don't think you'll go wrong with either choice.

Thanks for the response Gonk, I had the SVS 20-39 PCI I also thought it was a little boomy for music. Sold it on Ebay, don't have a sub a the moment. The Studio 60's does a fantastic job by themselves for music.

I have the exact set up you have. The 60 v3 and the cc-470 center. The LFM-1 in my system is absolutely awesome. They blend extremely well. My speakers are black and although don't match perfectly with the sub they look like a set. So far we are following each others footsteps as I also had the SVS but sent it back within the return guarantee.

You should really like the LFM.
