When will 7100 get a faceplate that matches the 990?

HELP!

My wife insists that any pre/pro and amp we purchase must match each other - these are the only visible components in our system and apparently it is important that they match.

Since it seems the 790 is having teething pains, there isn't anything in your stable that currently matches the 990. Any chance you will be updating the faceplates on your current amps, specifically the 7100, anytime soon?

I'm afraid we'll need to delay our puchase of the 990 until we have a btter idea on the above...

I would think they will be bringing out a "7200" which will have balanced inputs and a matching face plate..

The 7100 has the "new" Outlaw logo, but it is still resplendent with its green button. If you want an exact visual match for the new 990, you’re going to have to wait for the 790 amp. My 950 sounds great with my M200s, despite the different Outlaw logos. If you hold your breath for trikos’s 7200, or for the 790, you’ll be missing out on some great home theater while you wait.

Trikos, when I spoke to the Outlaws on the phone earlier they told me that the 7100/7200 would not have balanced inputs. I found that odd, but I personally don't intend to use them so it really isn't of much consequence to me. They could not confirm a date when a 7100/7200 would be available with a new faceplate, or even that a new faceplate is forthcoming, though one would have to assume that it would be.

ScottH, I completely agree - if it were solely up to me looks wouldn't factor into the decision(though personally I will not miss the green button!), but unfortunately my hands are tied. I may be forced to look beyond Outlaw if the wait gets too long, though it would be nice - hint, hint, wink, wink - if the Outlaws extended their package discount for those of us that are held captive by cosmetics and need to wait for a matching piece of equipment.

Maybe by that time the 1070 will be out and I'll REALLY have a fight on my hands: I know, Honey, one box LOOKS nicer than two boxes, but two boxes SOUND better than one...
