This happened when I first purchased it and was repaired under warranty. This time its just been sitting unused on a rack for the past 4 years.

I was going to give it to my son for his system but when I plugged it in the yellow power light turned on. Push the green button and no click.

I don't mind getting it fixed but wondering why this issue keeps happening. The fuse is fine, so not sure what it could be unless its one of the computer components.

In 25+ years I don't think I have ever had a cpu fail, or any of my retro amps fail. This leads me to think it might be in the newer electronics section.

You see this type of thing every now and again and it usually has to do with not having fixed the real problem the first time around. That is, whatever component was replaced the first time was actually overstressed by some circuit upstream from the failed component.

That's just a guess, but it seems to fit what you're describing.
