Power Supply for multiple M200's?

I'm thinking about going for 200's to power each of my 5 speakers in my HT. Looking for input on how people have dealt with plugging these things in ? Are people using surge protectors/power filters when hooking these up? I'm I going to blow fuses in my basement with 5 of these running ? Can I upgrade the fuses in my box to handle the additional load? Any and all thoughts are very much appreciated!

I'm running more power (about double) than 5 200's - plus many other components - on a 15A breaker and I've never had it trip yet. The amps are all connected to a switched power bar, which is in turn connected to the non-UPS'd (but spike and surge protected) side of a big UPS unit. All the other components are UPS'd.

I would not play with the fusing / breakers in your basement unless you are a certified electrician. I had one install a 50A "pony" box in that part of my basement that will eventually become the main home theatre - while he was already over doing some other electrical work. It was not that expensive an undertaking, and its there if and when I eventually need it. But based on my experience with the current 15A circuit, 50A is going to be overkill.

Jeff..thanks for your input on this..you have eased my mind. I feel like 5 M200's are still an option for me now.

As far as power strips/power conditions/surge protectors go...is there a particular model that works best with amplifiers ? I thinking that a $5.00 Radio Shack power Strip is not the answer but what are some suggestions to handle 5 or even 7 M200's properly.

I think the beige ones work better than the white ones.

But seriously, I think I bought the one I'm using at Mall Wart. Since they're all UL/CSA approved, there should be no difference in their ability to "handle" whatever amperage they're rated for. Maybe the switch will wear out faster on a cheap model - but then again I've never had one fail.

I'm running 7 M-200's on a 15A circuit through a Panamax 4300, which just happens to have 7 sockets

I've never had a flicker of a problem, even with all 7 amps going and the volume turned up to an uncomfortable level.

Arzch...are the 7 plugs on that Panomax 4300 specific for audio ? FOr example I have the MOnster HTS-5100 and there are specific inputs for audio, video, amplifiers, etc. I'm just curious?

It's great to hear from people who are not having problems with there 5 or 7 M200 setups.

Switched and unswitched, that's the only difference. They are not marked for specific uses. I always thought Monster did that so you could identify which cord you were dealing with, not for any technical reason related to power conditioning.
